2010 Delinquent Owners Reports

The attached file (see the download button) is a "zip"  file that contains the Delinquent Owners Reports from 2010.  The file is a self extracting file, which means that when you download it you need to save it then double click on it to extract the individual reports.  Note that these reports were separated from the Financial Reports beginning in September of 2010.  Prior to that time this information was reported on the Financial Report.

  A big thank you to one of our owners who loaned the building an impressive porfolio of works of art to help make our inaugural event a huge success.  I second "thank you" goes to our resident professional photographer, Linda Evans for her effort to memorialize the event.  This inaugural event was well attended by a diverse collection of: Tarkington Tower owners, Butler-Tarkington / Meridian-Kessler neighbors and city leaders.

This event put both our renovations and these works of art on display for an enjoyable evening.  Click on the little picture to view a slideshow of the event.  The initial slides show the art and highlight the common arearenovations.  The slides that follow those initial slides exhibit the fun had by all.

 

 

New web site, why?

If you have been a user of our original web site and don't attend meetings of the Tarkington Tower Owners Association board meetings then you were not able to hear my explanation, so here goes.

Roughly 4 years ago the board president, Nadine Harris, asked me if I would set up a site.  I'm a retired IT professional although I had never operated in the web environment it sounded interesting.  Our original idea was to take advantage of web site generators but after researching possibilities it was determined that those were too simplistic and delivered very little flexibility.  Addition research identified the fact that what we needed was a  "content management system" - a CMS.  A CMS is a structural framework that serves as a platform to deliver content.  There are several such CMS offerings out there and we chose the one that had the most support and for us that was a CMS called, "joomla!".  Supposedly joomla means communicate in some language, but I've never been able to verify that as a fact.
